I watched the…
Watchmen. Timeline (all times are not exact so an “ish” is implied)
- Friday 4pm: David = “My Buddy got me some tickets to see the Watchmen this Monday at Grauman’s Chinese Theater.”
- Friday 11:45pm: Robert (via voicemail) = “Kellie! Call me! I got tickets to the Watchmen so call me back!”
- Saturday 10am: Me (text to Robert) = “Gah! Did you get tickets to see The Watchmen on Monday?” Robert calls me back and says yes. He has one for me and one for Rey
- Sunday 3:45pm: David tells our co-workers that he’s seeing the Watchmen tomorrow to which they are all very jealous. We joke about that I think I’d like to go to.
- Monday 2:15pm: David and Kim inform me that they have set up a plastic awning and that there is a yellow carpet. So that way we don’t have to wait out in the rain. I think, yeah right. There is no way they would do that for us. Tonight is probably the premiere.
- Monday 3:30pm: We walk past the yellow carpet and see “Archie” (The Night Owl’s ship) and I am now sure that this is, in fact, the premiere.
- Monday 4:00pm: We find our line and get in it. And begin the wait
- Monday 6:00pm: We give in our ugly paper tickets and receive shiny and pretty for real tickets. We are for sure getting into this thing now. Happy/excited giggles ensue.
- Monday 6:15pm: The line is moving!!!!
- Monday 6:25pm: We grab our free popcorn and drinks and make our way to our seats.
- Monday 6:45pm: David swears he saw Malcolm McDowell. I’m not so sure, so we go scout.
- Monday 6:46pm: Jon Voight spotted in the lobby. We return to our seats and see Gerard Way (of My Chemical Romance) and it is Malcolm McDowell.
- Monday 7:00pm: Celebrity hunting from our seats. We see Jim Lee, Dave Gibbons, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, and others that I now cannot remember.
- Monday 7:30pm: The movie finally starts!
- Monday 9:15pm: The people behind us laugh every time you see Doc’s blue junk. Jackie Earle Haley as Rorschach looks like Steve Nash’s much older brother.
- Monday 10:00pm: The movie is over. It’s taking forever to get out. I go around secret way and get into lobby. Carla Gugino is a few feet away from me. She’s shorter than I thought. But still extremely pretty. Marley Shelton and her are hugging. Tee-hee! I’m so star-struck.
- Monday 10:05pm: Kim finds me as is freaking out because she just spoke with Jeffrey Dean Morgan. We giggle for about one full minute. Schmoozing galore!
- Monday 10:07pm: So that was Vanessa Hudgens. I guess the dude next to her was Zac Efron. I didn’t really know because she’s not exactly an actress I would readily recognize when I see Jeffrey Dean Morgan right over there!
- Monday 10:10pm: OMIGOD!!! It’s Patrick Wilson and I’m ready to swoon. He looks right at me. I must take a picture with him. Must must must!!! Oh, but Jessica Alba is talking with him about how much she enjoyed his performance and the movie and I don’t want to be rude and interrupt.
- Monday 10:12pm: Success! I got the picture! Why didn’t I make an effort at all in my appearance today. I look terrible, but whatever. I’m too happy!
- Monday 10:15pm: Who the hell is Tapout and why are they here. But then again, how did I get here?
- Monday 10:16pm: Amy Acker!!!!
- Monday 10:17pm: Olivia Munn bumps into me. Hehehe!
- Monday 10:18pm: Zack Snyder tells Robert he has a cool shirt. Robert flips out. Gah! Must attempt a picture with Jackie Earle Haley but he’s too well guarded and they’re telling us we need to get off the Yellow Carpet. We are some of the last people to get off the carpet. Muhahahaha!
- Monday 10:20pm: In the elevator, Kim and I giggle and laugh to our hearts content. How awesome!
- Monday 11:15pm: It finally sinks in how uncool I was amongst such cool people. I’m still happy but now I must find a way to be as cool as the cool people I rubbed elbows with tonight. Chances of that are zero. Anyway, it doesn’t really matter. What an awesome night.
ROBERT: THANK YOU SO SO SO MUCH!!!

I now feel even more entitled to go to every Zack Snyder premiere seeing as how I was also at the 300 premiere. Does my snobbery know no bounds?
And here’s some other Watchmen stuff I enjoy
