This is a strangely long post with no pictures, prepare yourself.
Before reading my post, you need to read to Roberts post and watch ALL of the videos which absolutely made my day. (Even the one that I recommended)
That being said, you should be aware of Nadia’s text message that said it was snowing. Of which, I am jealous. As most of you know, it is absolutely true that every morning I wake up, before I even get out of bed, I must check the weather for
- Northridge
- Sylmar (Where Rey lives and could possibly be a few degrees off from the temperature in Northridge)
- Anaheim (home of Disneyland and DCA)
- Fort Collins (possible future home)
- Washington DC (because they have such varied weather)
- New York (because in my heart, I still love New York and think that maybe, just maybe, someday it would work out between us and we could be together for awhile…)
- Mammoth Lakes (For snow)
- London (because it’s practically always raining or snowing or cloudy there and I like to experience weather vicariously through them)
and as of today - Clarksville, TN (because I want to see the sort of weather Nadia is having)
Also, you should be as disturbed, disgusted, and make some strange noise as I did (Bonnie was also grossed by this, but I don’t know if she made the strange noise I did) by this if you haven’t already clicked on the link.
More over, Kaitlin, you should be aware that Rey enjoyed reading your post about the Magic Castle.
Now for some non-re-blog crap:
- I played Yatzee last night. As Rey might say, “That shit was sick, dawg.” Seriously though, I used to love Yatzee. And I still do. At one point in time, I had one of those little electronic handheld Yatzee games that I took everywhere. Of course, that doesn’t really compare to the excitement of playing a legit game and somehow magically being able to manipulate the dice in order to get the number you need (because apparently, everyone I played with last night seemed to have this mystical ability sans myself). Nevertheless, I had a good time. We also played Scattegories and that game was also fun.
- I was looking at my play count on iTunes, and realized that despite the fact that I have over 10,000 songs, I really only listen to roughly the same 200 songs over and over again. This means that I’ve played them at least 3 times. Because sometimes, you just put on iTunes and walk out of the room and don’t care what’s playing, so a 1-time listen doesn’t really count. Also, 2 times doesn’t count because what if it’s the song that plays after the a song you love and you just forgot to go to another song. So, really 3 or more times means that I like it. Only 4 songs have been listened to over 100 times. Those being
- Surround by In Flight Safety. I think its safe to say that no one will ever understand my absolute love of this song. That’s okay. You don’t really need to. But I’ve listened to this song 116 times not including right now. I think it’s the beat of the drums that I still can’t get over.
- Into The Fire (Thirteen Senses) - 115 counts
- Pace Is The Trick (Interpol) - 107 counts (1:09 - to 1:14 = unbeatable!)
- Munich (Editors) - 103 counts
I’m also amazed by how far up the list Mer Du Japon by Air is. (#8) I like that song. Just didn’t think I liked it that much. I’m also delighted to see that Standing In The Punchline by The Robocop Kraus is getting closer to the top (#15).
This reminds me of one of my all time favorite games I used to play. The itunes game. It goes like this.Rules:
IF YOUR LIFE WAS A MOVIE, WHAT WOULD THE SOUNDTRACK BE?
So, here’s how it works:
1. Open your library
2. Put it on shuffle
3. Press play
4. For every question, type the song that’s playing
5. When you go to a new question, press the next button
6. Don’t lie and try to pretend you’re cool
